Christmas Tree Decorating

*Any holiday trees are recognized for this event*

Dress up those balsam firs and wear your best ugly Xmas sweater to prepare for LNM’s first-ever Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. In this feat of absolute daring, you’ll be tasked with giving your Christmas timber the makeover of a lifetime.

While you aren’t responsible for doing the decorating on camera, you will be on the hook for creating a video, complete with narration, explaining why your chosen lights, tinsel, and ornaments dominate compared to other competitors.

Rules for Dressing Up Your Holiday Sapling

• Only one person from each team may participate
• You MUST take a video of your Xmas tree
• You are REQUIRED to personally narrate your video with a description of what makes your tree the best
• The video MUST be at least one minute with a maximum of four minutes
• Your mug (that means face) MUST be featured in this video in the same clip as your tree

Show Us What You Got

Now, we know traditions are different across every household, and we won’t knock you for choosing traditional Xmas bows, strings of popped corn, or even for having a mind-blowingly mono-beige tree. We also won’t rip you for having an eclectic set of inside joke tree-décor or even the infamous Christmas pickle ornament.

Mostly, we’ve designed this wholesome-ish event because we want to see your holiday spirit shine brightly. Don’t let us down competitors. We’re pinning our hopes for a Christmas miracle on you.

Judgment Day Also Comes for Trees

We know we just finished saying we won’t judge you for the way you choose to jazz up your tree, but we also need to have some way to decipher who’s taking home first prize. Our panel of judges will use their discretion to pick the trees that encompass all the qualities they’re looking for in a tree that’s worthy of taking home first prize.
