Improv Art

The Olympics are not just for the strong and mighty. They are also for the sensitive souls, the visionary virtuosos, the perceptive purveyors—the artistes!

If you consider yourself a gentle heart with a wild brush, then the Improvisation Art event is your chance to go from a starving artist to a modern maestro. This challenge will pit the top talent from each department against one another as they create their latest masterpiece for our panel of prestigious art critics.

A Competition Among Creatives

Humans have always been imbued with an artistic spirit and a longing to make their mark. From the Italian masters of the Renaissance to whatever it is that Banksy does, it’s clear that people will always be channeling the muse and refining their talents.

This long lineage of prestigious painters and pencilers reaches its apex in the Improvisational Art event at the LinkNow Olympics. Here, top brass from around the globe gather to brush shoulders and see who has what it takes to create their magnum opus on the spot.

Putting It All on Canvas

Typically, there are no rules for artistic expression—but this event has a few that you will need to follow.

The Improvisational Art event begins by spinning three different wheels to determine an animal, action, and place for the subject of the piece. The artists will then have 30 minutes to complete their artwork, and they must have their webcam pointed at their canvas the entire time to prevent cheating.

Contestants can use whichever tools they prefer (pencil, ink, paint, ornaments), but it must be physical art—so no drawing tablets or computer software!

When time’s up, our most pretentious and refined art critics will give their opinions and decide who is the most innovative and influential artist.
